What we've been up to: 18 March

This week the Dolby team hit the red carpet for HBO’s special screening of the Game of Thrones, Season 5, episode Hardhome in amazing Dolby Atmos. Attending alongside media, celebrities and stars of the show, the H+K team enjoyed a very high tech experience of the epic GoT battle scenes on the silver screen.

As SXSW is upon us our data scientists have been busy working on crunching the numbers behind one of the most talked about events of the year. They have been providing our colleagues at the event with stats on top influencers, who the most hyped speakers have been and the ones that were the best received (positive sentiment %). The team used them to create engaging infographics which have been posted on the H+K twitter feed and broadcasted around the office this week.

As a team, our Healthcare group is constantly looking for better ways to make communications about health more human, making a conscious effort to tell the stories of ‘people’ rather than ‘patients’. It’s what sat at the root of their decision to attend The Story, a recent one-day conference celebrating stories in all their formats. The main takeaway applied since The Story is the necessity of simplicity. People are people and their experiences are only relatable when their stories are told well. Watching powerful speakers do exactly that inspire them to hone their own skills in favour of sharper, more engaging work.
