What we've been up to this week: 5 August
With Rio 2016 kicking off tonight, this week in our London office we’ve been reminiscing about the best moments from London 2012 and looking forward to what's in store for this Olympics. If you haven’t already check out our list of the top 50 most marketable athletes. Here’s what we’ve been busy doing at H+K this week.
The next dimension
Last night our Retail + Leisure team oversaw the grand unveiling of the first 4DX cinema screen in Scotland. 4DX is a totally unique and exhilarating cinematic experience that stimulates all five senses, with rain, fog, motions, storms, bubbles and scents felt from the moment you take your seat. This innovative experience landed in Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew Street - Europe's tallest cinema - with a special preview of Suicide Squad, held for media, influencers and local stakeholders. With BBC Scotland, STV, Capital FM, Daily Record and many more in tow, coverage dominated the headlines, highlighting the exclusive Cineworld offering and the exciting first for Scotland.
Love-in with the Lovies
As part of our weekly Tech speculators sessions we welcomed the organisers from the Lovie Awards to our office. The Lovies are the sister award to the Webbys and have been running for the last 6 years, celebrating the best of online communications. Gianfranco from the Lovies spoke to us on the topic of the unstoppable internet, looking at how our lives have been transformed by technology, and how the internet of things is just starting to disrupt our lives and alter our behaviour.
