Deema Kingsmill-Moore has been a strategic communicator for over 25 years, working on some of the world’s most recognized and dynamic brands. She has a passion for travel, communication, community and learning and development.
L+D has always been a key part of H+K’s culture. In her current role, Deema re-launched The Hub, London’s L+D offer, creating a more robust and engaging platform to support growth and development of colleagues.
Since then, she has introduced over 40 brand new training opportunities for colleagues in the London office. She also developed career progression plans to take colleagues from the most junior to the upper senior levels, through the Advance and Advance+ programmes.
She believes that continuous, life-long learning is key to a fulfilling and successful career, and that The Hub exists to offer those learning opportunities, whatever the designation or experience.
Prior to joining H+K London, Deema was Director of Communications Middle East and Africa for Marriott International, from 2012 until 2019, where she built the communications discipline across MEA. She played a key strategic communications role on critical milestone events, including the acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, the opening of the world’s tallest hotel, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai; the launch of Marriott International’s content studio; and Marriott’s annual social impact programme, Road To Awareness.
Previously, Deema spent 8 years at H+K Dubai, managing a portfolio of consumer, tech and CSR clients across the Middle East, as well as supporting colleagues in their growth, learning and development.
In recognition of her work in the Middle East communications sector, she was appointed to the Board of the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA), a position she held from 2014 to 2019, when she was also awarded a Fellowship for her continuous contribution and support of the industry.
She loves the seaside and the mountains, travelling to new places, reading novels and autobiographies, and is always happy to chat over a cuppa tea or glass of white wine.
