
Karen leads the Energy + Industrials team in London, advising a range of clients including DS Smith, BSI, Honda and Hitachi.
Over her 15 year career, Karen has worked with a vast array of brands to manage and build reputations as well as deliver creative consumer and corporate global communications campaigns.
Karen’s client experience includes working with HSBC, Bupa, E.ON, DAZN, WorldRemit, Aviva, Visa Europe and Ford Money, among others.
For HSBC, Karen oversaw H+K’s global relationship and led their global campaign activity for over a decade, advising on corporate issues, earned media, and content and publishing strategies. Her work on the global Expat Explorer campaign has won multiple awards including a Webby nomination and the Grand Prix at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards.
Karen is an expert in personal finance media, having launched Ford Money, a new challenger bank from the automotive giant, to UK PF journalists, as well as running press offices for Aviva General Insurance and Royal London for a number of years.
As well as media and campaign activity, Karen has worked with numerous brands to develop their purpose and narrative. During the merger of GE Oil & Gas and Baker Hughes, Karen advised on the merger narrative and devised a campaign to align the new company’s 70,000 global employees around their new purpose.
Karen graduated from The University of Sheffield with a BA in Philosophy and was featured in PR Week’s 30 under 30 (just don’t ask which year she appeared in).
