Sara is a Managing Director of the Energy + Industrials team in London, leading a portfolio of work with clients across the extractives, manufacturing, transport and infrastructure sectors. An international corporate communications specialist, Sara has led award-winning campaigns for UK and multinational companies, international institutions and governments and currently advises clients including Hitachi, DS Smith, IAG Cargo and Shell.
Prior to returning to the London office, Sara built a dedicated energy practice for H+K in the Middle East region, transforming the portfolio and developing a market-leading integrated communications offer with clients including ADNOC, Emirates Global Aluminium, the World Energy Council and Masdar. She also led H+K’s Abu Dhabi office, with clients including Sotheby’s, Abu Dhabi Ports and Lavazza.
Sara has extensive experience working with international media and global set-piece events, including managing all international communications on behalf of the Saudi Arabian government during President Trump’s first international state visit. She has advised several government clients and private sector organisations on engagement with the World Economic Forum, including organising the messaging, positioning and media programme for ministers from a Middle Eastern delegation, and advising a global plastics company of set-piece events and media engagement strategy at the Forum.
Additionally, Sara has experience developing and delivering capacity building programmes in the public and private sector, advising on communications function design, build and activation.
Sara graduated from Washington & Lee University in the United States with a dual degree in mass communications and romance languages. She is a member of the Royal Institute for International Affairs.
