H+K London had an exciting week as some of our team members attended the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2017. Our sector teams in London also worked on unique campaigns, and our public affairs team provided insight into the Queen’s Speech. Read on to learn more.
Cannes
On Tuesday, we hosted a Cannes event at The Forum to discuss China’s Age of Ambition. Simon Shaw, H+K London’s Chief Creative Officer; Glory Zhang, CMO of Huawei Consumer Business Group; and Jeff Beer, Staff Editor for Fast Company, took the stage to discuss the international expansion of Chinese companies.
During Cannes, H+K also announced the launch of the Shanghai Addition, a new way to connect Chinese brands with audiences, cultures and markets around the world. The Shanghai Addition is an extension of London’s Global Center of Creative Strategy, led by H+K UK’s CEO Richard Millar and Chief Creative Officer Simon Shaw. We also celebrated a big win this week! H+K Sweden’s work with Ålandsbanken and RBK Communication WON the Grand Prix in the Cyber category at Cannes Lions. You can view photos from our week in Cannes on H+K London’s Facebook page.
Duracell
The Duracell sport team was at the Corporate Engagement Awards this week celebrating the success of the brands partnership with the Great Run Series. It was a successful night with the campaign picking up a bronze in ‘Best alignment of brand values during a sponsorship activity’ and the silver in the ‘Most effective sponsorship of a single event’ categories.
HSBC Golf
Paul James from the Sports and Partnership Marketing team went to Astbury Hall Golf Club on Thursday to film with top golf influencers ‘MeandMyGolf’. PJ filmed content with the guys for HSBC’s ‘HSBC Hour’ initiative, which will offer free golf to children and families at up to 300 golf clubs during the week of The Open this year.
LEO Pharma creative session
Sports, Healthcare and SMARTER partnered this week to run a creative session for LEO Pharma in Rome. The session was in aide of a great cause – brainstorming ideas for helping people with Psoriasis.
