The FPS team has been busy this week supporting Royal London on the launch of their fourth annual National Funeral Cost Index which tracks the average cost of a funeral and funeral debt across the UK. This year’s findings showed that the average cost of a funeral has increased by 3% from 2016 to £3,784. Funeral poverty has also reached an all-time high of £160 million with those struggling to pay funeral costs taking on an average debt of £1,680. Royal London was very clear that the government need to do more to tackle funeral debt and poverty in our country. It was a hard-hitting story that struck a chord with broadcast and print media alike. The team secured over 30 pieces of coverage ranging across BBC Business, LBC Radio, ITV London, Daily Telegraph, The Times, Press Association and Mail Online to name a few.
This week, the tech team worked with influencer Suli Breaks to a launch a unique spoken word piece in partnership with Intel to give his perspective on how technology is helping to push boundaries in theatre. The content is to support Intel and the RSC’s recent production of ‘The Tempest’ that H+K has been supporting through PR and social.
