Last weekend, the Retail + Leisure team worked with Westfield to launch its latest summer activation, Future Forest, a multi-sensory installation by Bompas & Parr. The team have been busy organising media presence at and press coverage for the Future Forest, which is a nature-inspired free event, themed around urban reforestation, with activities available for all ages.
Until August 3rd, an immersive Fruit Cloud, a Forest Zorb Lagoon and a Forest Village exhibition (showcasing plants that create electricity, the magic of spider silk, and a historic tree circus alongside artefacts and artworks) will be at Westfield Stratford City for families to enjoy. Visitors to the Fruit Cloud are offered a raincoat before entering into Bompas & Parr’s fruity mist technology; enhanced with apple, blackberry or peach fruity flavours. As well as gulping the edible fog, visitors will be able to capture those all-important social-sharing opportunities.
The team is already prepping for the second phase of Future Forest, which will be at Westfield London later in the summer.
Last week the FPS team launched a campaign for Royal London, which focused on the financial costs of a critical illness. The story centred on research which found that worryingly more than half of the population in the UK who have suffered a critical illness faced a shortfall in their income. The story was covered nationally by The Mirror and BBC Radio Scotland, as well as appearing in trade publications such as FT Adviser and Professional Adviser.
To showcase the new VR headset offering and to further position Hurtigruten as an adventure travel brand, H+K hosted a VR Experience event at our London office for travel media and influencers. Guests were encouraged to trial the new headsets in a quiet room with rotating chairs to get the full VR experience. H+K was joined by Hurtigruten representatives who were on hand throughout the evening to answer questions about the VR Headsets as well as offer press further insight into the Hurtigruten brand.
To celebrate the recent opening of Holiday Inn Express Alexanderplatz and position the brand as the go to hotel for short breaks, H+K hosted UK travel and lifestyle media for a 48 Hours in Berlin press trip during one of the most fashionable times of the year – Berlin Fashion Week. The itineraries created were tailored to incorporate Berlin’s most iconic cultural sites, fashion events and dining experiences.
